In this article, we will take a comprehensive look at the Google Pixel 5 and how it has stood the test of time in 2023. While it may not be my personal favourite in the Pixel lineup, there’s no denying that the Pixel 5 is one of the most important phones Google has ever made.
When it was initially released, it was instrumental in reviving the Pixel series, even though it was not aimed to compete with the flagship devices. Instead, it focused on offering a stable, reliable and affordable phone, which proved wise.

Pixel 5a Price In India
Back in history, this edition was already available Globally but not in India. Google has launched this phone at a cost of Rs. 79,990. And the currently costs Rs 33,000. But I don’t recommend you buy a newer one because it doesn’t make any sense to buy it at this but. So buy it in used condition only.

Design and Display
The Google Pixel 5 features a 6-inch OLED display that will perform well even in 2023. With a 90Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution, the display offers a satisfying viewing experience. The hole-punch design looks sleek and modern, while the aluminium body adds a touch of durability.
However, some users may find the aluminium back a bit different than standard aluminium phones. Nevertheless, the overall design remains relevant, except for the rear fingerprint sensor, which now looks outdated compared to the in-display fingerprint sensor found on newer phones.

Camera Of Google Pixel 5
The Pixel 5’s camera setup includes a 12.2-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide camera on the back, as well as an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens on the front. Although the camera was highly prized at its launch, subsequent Pixel releases may have faded it.
Nonetheless, it still performs admirably, especially considering its price. The camera’s software is optimized for quality photography, although it may lack the abundance of features seen in other brands like Samsung. Still, it remains a solid performer for everyday photography needs.

Software and Longevity
A major selling point of the Pixel series is its software and frequent updates. As a Google device, the Pixel 5 gets quick software updates, including early access to beta versions of Android. This ensures that the phone stays updated with the latest features and security patches. The software longevity of the Pixel 5 is really impressive, and it remains a reliable option for those seeking timely updates and a seamless user experience.
Performance and Battery Life
Pixel 5 is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset and 8GB of RAM. Surprisingly, the phone delivers blazing-fast performance, especially when compared to other phones in 2023. It handles light to medium tasks with ease, and even some demanding apps and games run smoothly on this device.
The 4080mAh battery capacity is commendable and provides enough power for a full day’s use. Furthermore, wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are additional useful features that add to the versatility of the phone.
