If you have decided to buy a used iPhone then currently iPhone 11 and iPhone XR are providing the best value. But which one will be best in your budget and which one provides better value to you?
Hey, I am Anita writing this blog post to clear out all doubts and provide a piece of valuable information to all of you.
A Short Answer: If your priority is the camera, excellent performance, and good battery life, then the iPhone 11 is worth buying in 2023.
But, don’t think that the iPhone XR is far slower than the iPhone 11 instead, it offers almost equal performance in daily tasks.
Hey, I have written an awesome blog post on the iPhone XR check it out now: Apple iPhone XR in 2023 – A Good option under Budget!
Table of Contents
iPhone 11 Battery life
Battery life of any device depends on usage and the chipset manufacturing architecture. When comparing both phone’s chipsets, they are both made on 7nm architecture. The iPhone 11 has a 3,111mAh battery which is 169mAh more than the XR.
There is only slightly better battery life found on iPhone 11. We can expect one-day battery life but on normal usage only or you might have to charge the device once a day. Also, this depends on the battery health of the device. Good battery health starts from 85% to 95% and tries to get a device with good battery health.
If you are ready for heavy usage, then be prepared for multiple times charging the phone. Heavy tasks such as gaming, camera usage, and video editing may require frequent charging.

So Minimal Design
One thing you will find the difference in them is the dual camera setup of iPhone 11. From design language to the display size and to the build quality is almost identical. There is no reason to buy the iPhone 11 just for design.
This one has rounded edges which doesn’t come in today’s iPhone. Round edges have a better grip and are helpful while holding the phone.
It has the same display size as today’s base iPhones but has a big notch. Eventually, it is a little bigger than the iPhone 13 because of the bezel’s size. Moreover, this one has dual speakers, a charging port, volume up and down, a power button, and an alert slider.
Display specs are quite disappointing!
Another point it has the same display specs as iPhone XR. So there is no point in buying this for display.
Apple iPhone 11 has a display size of 6.1 inches Liquid Retina IPS LCD panel. I have mentioned an LCD display yeah! but believe me, this is one of the best LCD panels. If you are a content consumer then you can go with XS but not with iPhone 11.
Further, a 720P panel with a 60HZ refresh rate that’s why you can go with XS. The display has a resolution of 828 x 1792 pixels with a pixel density of 326 PPI.
For normal users, there is no problem with the display. As I mentioned if you are a content consumer then you can go with XS. Definitely, it’s not as good as today’s standard displays but enough for daily usage.

Best performance in this segment
The 11 is equipped with the Apple A13 Bionic chipset, which offers exceptional performance even in the year 2023. It is important to note that this iPhone model supports 4G network connectivity.
In terms of daily usage, users can expect a seamless experience without any lag or decrease in performance. The iOS operating system has been optimized to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience.
When comparing it to the XR I really didn’t find any big performance differences. But yeah there are differences in video rendering time and CPU-intensive workloads. Let me clear out with some benchmarks:
It seems that it’s almost double the performance of XR. What I mean is how exactly to use the phone to its max potential. For example, if you play PUBG Mobile, then both phones give 60FPS without any issues.
Here is a point if you use the phone for CPU intensive, then probably go with iPhone 11.

Best Camera Setup
The iPhone 11 camera boasts several significant improvements over the iPhone XR’s single-lens camera system. Firstly, the iPhone 11 features a dual-camera setup, featuring a 12-megapixel wide lens and an additional 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, giving users increased versatility in their photography.
This dual-camera configuration enables you to capture more detailed landscapes, group shots, and creative compositions that the XR’s single lens couldn’t achieve.
Additionally, iPhone 11 introduces Night Mode, which significantly improves low-light photography by making images brighter and clearer in dark environments. Additionally, Deep Fusion technology optimizes image quality in medium-light settings, resulting in more detailed and noise-free photos.
iPhone 11’s 4K video recording capabilities, extended dynamic range and the ability to seamlessly switch between photos and videos with QuickTake underline its superiority in the field of multimedia.
These camera enhancements make the iPhone 11 an attractive option for those who desire a more versatile and advanced photography and videography experience than the iPhone XR.
