The Google Pixel 6a has become the most affordable and loved smartphone from Google in India. Earlier Google has already introduced its Pixel 7 series. But the success of the Pixel 6a has continued for the Pixel 7a. Google will try to introduce an affordable and feature-rich device with their Pixel 7a.

In this blog, I will go through the aspected price, specs, and release date of the Google Pixel 7a. Also, you must ensure that we have only some leaks and rumors but not an official confirmation. In the future, this information can vary depending on official confirmations.
Google Pixel 7A Design
The design of the Pixel 7a is expected to be very similar to Pixel 7. Like the Pixel 6a, which mirrored the baseline Pixel 6, the latest generation seems to follow suit. The renders show a full metal camera frame with cutouts for dual lenses, giving a familiar look and feel.
However, this slight increase in size means that the AMOLED display will likely measure 6.1 inches. The Pixel 7a’s design closely resembles that of the Pixel 7, but it is unclear.
The Pixel 6a had a metal frame, there are rumors that the Pixel 7a may also feature a recycled aluminum frame. This could potentially make the Pixel 7a lighter than the Pixel 7, which shares a very similar design.

The Pixel 7a appears to bring some significant upgrades to Google’s mid-range lineup, which has already been quite successful. A major improvement in the display is its refresh rate. The refresh rate might be above 60Hz this time.
Based on previous patterns, it is likely that Google will equip the Pixel 7a with the latest Tensor processor. The Tensor G2 was presented together with the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. It is very likely that the Pixel 7a will be equipped with this processor.
It appears that the Pixel 7a will feature 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, an upgrade from last year’s Pixel 6a which had 6GB of RAM. The battery capacity of the Pixel 7a is still unknown, but rumors suggest that it will be the first A-series device to include wireless charging.
Android 13 is expected to come pre-installed on the Pixel 7a. It will include a promise of three full operating system upgrades and five years of security patches. This means that the device is likely to receive Android 16 at some point in 2026.

Google Pixel 7A Camera
It is likely that the sensor for the 50MP camera on the 7a is the same Samsung GN1 as found on the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Furthermore, rumors suggest that they will use a Sony IMX712 for ultrawide shots. If these rumors prove true, then the Pixel 7a’s cameras could offer imaging quality.
However, one should note that the original report mentioned a telephoto lens that is absent in real-world prototypes.
Google Pixel 7a: Price and release date
Google chose to alleviate the strain on our wallets this year by maintaining the same price as its predecessors for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. A leaked roadmap outlining the plans for the next several Pixel generations corroborates that we can expect a price of $449/Rs 39,900.
Despite the improved specifications, it is reasonable to expect that Google’s most economical smartphone will remain at its usual price point.
In March, we received our initial indication of the Pixel 7a’s store shelf release. A leaked retail report suggests that Google’s upcoming mid-range phone will arrive in June. It’s worth noting that Google launched the Pixel 6a in July 2022 and the Pixel 5a in August 2021.
