Thermals
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED also boasts a reliable cooling system, with one fan and one heat pipe working together to regulate the laptop’s temperature. During our tests, we found that the fans didn’t always start up immediately when running intensive applications. However, this was only an issue when the CPU temperature rose to 92 or 93 degrees. Once the fans kicked into high gear, the laptop cooled down quickly and performed well in benchmarks. For everyday use, the laptop remained cool and we experienced no issues with overheating.
Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Display
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED boasts a stunning 13-inch OLED panel with a high 2.8K resolution, 90 Hz refresh rate, 0.2 ms response time, and 100% DCI-P3 HDR. The screen is truly remarkable and looks absolutely fantastic whether you’re viewing 4K HDR videos or just browsing the web.
The narrow edges all around the screen provide an immersive viewing experience, and everything appears incredibly smooth thanks to the high refresh rate. The high aspect ratio works seamlessly with the laptop, allowing you to easily add more content to the screen. The screen is also very bright, with a maximum nominal brightness of 600 nits. Although the screen can be slightly reflective, it doesn’t detract from the overall quality of the OLED panel, which is truly outstanding.
Design
The laptop design of the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED remains true to its essence, being a thin and lightweight device with some notable changes from the previous generation. The laptop features a new Asus Arrow logo on the lid and a minimal and high-quality Asus Zenbook brand below it. However, despite the anti-fingerprint coating, the laptop still attracts fingerprints that are hard to clean. The laptop has a variety of gates on its sides, with most of them being USB C ports that support PD charging, display port, and data transmission. There is also an HDMI 2.1, a 3.5 mm jack, and a microSD slot.
The laptop’s body is made of magnesium-aluminum alloy and is very durable. The Asus Ergolift hinge raises the keyboard for better ventilation, and the laptop has a concentric circle design element in the center. The keyboard provides an excellent typing experience, with well-placed keys and excellent tactile feedback. The control panel is also durable and features a smooth glass surface that is resistant to fingerprints, accurate tracking, and natural gesture support.

The laptop also features a 1080p webcam and a variety of microphone modes that should be useful in meetings. Overall, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED’s design is sleek and portable, with excellent features and high-quality components.
Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Performance
The new Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is a great innovation that brings something new to the table. With the RYZEN 7000 series chipsets, our conversion rate is robust, thanks to the new RYZEN 7 7730U processor based on energy efficiency 7nm architecture. This processor has an 8-core, 16-thread, clock frequency of 2.5 GHz and an 8-core Radeon GP. Additionally, the laptop comes with 16 GB LPDDR X RAM and a 512GB Gen3 SSD. While some may question why Asus didn’t use LPDDR5 RAM or Gen SSD, they made this compromise to bring a stronger RYZEN 7000 series processor.
Compared to other Windows laptops in this price range, which are usually powered by Core i7 1260P or 1255U, the RYZEN 7730U competes very well with them. While Intel chips may perform better in some benchmarks, AMD chips have additional benefits and are more powerful, which brings better graphics performance. To see the difference, we compared the 3D character points from an Iris Xe graphics card at 1260P to the Radeon graphics of this laptop.
In terms of actual performance, the Zenbook 14 OLED is impressive. It’s fast, very responsive, and breezes through everything. Even with 12 browsers open, four of which are playing 4K videos, and programs like Photoshop, Slacks, Teams, and MS Word opening in the background, the laptop didn’t slow down at all. Furthermore, it didn’t heat up, even with these tasks.
For better understanding, we used Photoshop here for multi-story and whatnot, and it didn’t slow down. It’s just very soft to use. Thanks to the 8-core GPU, even some casual games are good. For example, you get around 120 fps in CS Go 1080p with low settings. Overall, the new Zenbook 1 OLED is a great innovation that offers impressive performance and is a joy to use.

Upgrade Options
The Asus Zenbook 1 laptop offers some options for upgradability. The laptop has an SSD and a WiFi card that can be upgraded, but there is no extra M2 slot, so upgrading the storage requires replacing the current one with the new one. However, the RAM is soldered, so it cannot be upgraded. Nevertheless, the laptop comes with 16 GB RAM, which should be sufficient for most users.
Speakers And Battery
The speakers on this laptop are impressive, even though they are bottom-firing. They can get very loud without distortion, and the sound quality is sharp, clear, and balanced. The Dolby Atmos support further enhances the audio experience, making it almost perfect for movies and music.
The battery capacity is 75 Wh and comes with a 65W USB-C PD charger. The battery life is excellent, providing 10-11 hours of usage on a normal day of surfing, document editing, and media consumption. The laptop can also charge quickly, reaching up to 60% in just 5 minutes with the 65W charger. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5, and the laptop comes with Windows 11 and useful Asus apps such as the My Asus program. However, there are also some pre-installed third-party applications like Alexa and McAfee, which may not be preferred by everyone.
Asus Zenbook 14 OLED Price In India
It has a fantastic OLED screen, excellent build quality, great speakers, good battery life, and fast charging capabilities. However, it is important to note that the price is on the higher side, and not everyone may be willing to spend this much on a laptop. Asus Zenbook 14 OLED starts at Rs 89,990 in India and our version costs Rs 1,0,990. Now you can wait at this price premium laptop, right? And it’s a premium laptop. But if you are looking for a premium laptop with top-of-the-line features and don’t mind the price tag, then the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is definitely worth considering. Plus, with the upgradeability of the SSD and WiFi card, it could potentially have a longer lifespan than other laptops that don’t offer such upgrades. Overall, it’s a great option for those who want the best of the best in terms of features and performance.
Conclusion
Overall, the Asus Zenbook 14 OLED is a premium laptop with a stunning design and a minimalistic look. The display is absolutely stunning and the battery life and multimedia experiences are very positive. It uses LPDDR X RAM and Gen3 SSD and introduces the RYZEN 7000 series processor, which delivers excellent performance.
